MeetMo.io offers powerful capabilities to stream various devices, such as videos, cameras, lights, and IoT devices, directly into your production. This guide walks you through how to stream devices into MeetMo, whether you’re using professional-grade equipment or mobile setups.

Steps to Stream Devices into MeetMo:

1. Access the Present Tool:

  • In the toolbar, click on the Present icon. You’ll see four options—choose Devices.

2. Select Streaming Devices:

  • After clicking on Devices, you’ll be presented with two options: Local Devices and Streaming Devices. Select Streaming Devices to bring in devices from anywhere in real time.

3. Add a New Device:

  • Click on Add Device and choose between two setup methods:

    • Wizard: Quick setup with preset devices and protocols (for fast connections).

    • Advanced: Full control over streaming devices and protocols.

4. Advanced Setup:

  • Choose Advanced to explore the full potential of device streaming. Give your device a name and select a protocol. For this guide, we’ll use the WHIP (WebRTC-HTTP Ingest Protocol) stream as an example.

  • MeetMo will generate a URL and Key. The URL is the stream’s path, and the Key finalizes the connection.

5. Streaming with OBS:

  • Copy the URL from MeetMo.

  • In OBS, go to Settings, click on Stream, and select WHIP (or Custom if WHIP is unavailable) in the Service dropdown menu.

  • Paste the URL from MeetMo into the Server field.

  • Copy the Key from MeetMo and paste it into the Stream Key field in OBS.

  • Click Apply, then OK, and start streaming in OBS. Your feed will appear in MeetMo for live management.

6. Streaming with Larix Broadcaster (Mobile):

  • Open the Larix Broadcaster app and go to Connection Settings.

  • Paste the URL from MeetMo into the URL field. Add a forward slash ("/") and then paste the Key after it (Larix combines both the URL and Key).

  • Save your settings and start streaming. Your feed will show up in MeetMo in real time.

7. Streaming with Teradek (Cinema Camera Setup):

  • For professional setups, choose the RTMP protocol when creating a new device in MeetMo.

  • Connect your camera’s SDI output to the Teradek encoder.

  • In your Teradek Core account, create a new channel in Destinations.

  • Paste the URL and Key from MeetMo into the appropriate fields, select RTMPs as the protocol, and create the channel.

  • Select the destination in Teradek and click Go Live. Your cinema camera feed will stream directly into MeetMo.

8. Managing the Stream in MeetMo:

  • Once the device is streaming into MeetMo, manage the feed as you would with other inputs. You can adjust layouts, assign hierarchy, and manage the production in real time.

Conclusion: MeetMo allows seamless integration with professional and mobile streaming setups, offering flexibility to manage video feeds, cameras, and IoT devices in real time. Whether you're working with simple setups or complex, multi-camera productions, MeetMo provides the tools you need to manage your streams efficiently.
