This guide walks you through the process of creating a new space in MeetMo.io, explaining the steps for setting up a space, adding members, and configuring security options like passwords and permissions.

Steps to Create a New Space:

1. Access the "Spaces" Tab:

  • Navigate to the "Spaces" section from the dashboard. Here, you can create new spaces, search for existing ones, and edit the spaces you own or have permission to modify.

2. Click "New Space":

  • To create a space from scratch, click the "New Space" button. A pop-up window will appear to guide you through the setup process.

3. Name and Brand Your Space:

  • In the pop-up, you’ll be prompted to enter a name for your space and add a picture for branding. The picture could be a logo or an image that represents the project or event.

4. Set a Password (Optional):

  • You can choose to set a password for your space. This adds an extra layer of security but is optional. You can either generate a password automatically or create one manually. Even without a password, only team members with the correct permissions can access the space.

5. Add Members:

  • Before finalizing the setup, you can add members to your space. These members will have viewing access but won’t have automatic permissions to modify or manage the space unless granted later.

6. Choose Private or Public:

  • You can decide whether the space will be private or public:

    • Private: Only members you’ve directly assigned to the space can access it.

    • Public: Visible and accessible to all team members or guests with a direct link.

7. Customizing and Editing:

  • Don’t worry if you need to make changes later. You can always edit the space’s name, add or remove members, and adjust settings as needed. Spaces are fully customizable.

Conclusion: Creating a space in MeetMo is easy and flexible, allowing you to add branding, set security levels, and invite members. Whether public or private, spaces provide a secure environment for collaboration. In the next guide, we’ll explore Basic Space Settings in detail.
