This guide provides step-by-step instructions on how to edit the basic settings of a space in MeetMo.io. You’ll learn how to adjust space details, manage guest permissions, and control hidden user settings, all of which help you customize your space for optimal collaboration.
Steps to Edit Space Settings:
1. Access Space Settings:
Hover over the space you want to edit and click on it. Alternatively, click the down arrow to expand or collapse the settings menu.
2. Space Interface Overview:
Header: Displays the space name, photo, and buttons to join or share the space.
SubHeader: This section contains controls for settings, subspaces, and AI chat. We’ll go into more detail about these tabs later.
Content Display Area: This is where all editable settings are located, starting with the basic options like space name and privacy settings.
3. Edit Space Name & Privacy Settings:
You’ll see familiar settings such as the space name and privacy options that were initially set when you created the space. These can be adjusted at any time.
4. Add or Change the Password:
If you didn’t set a password when creating the space, you can add one by toggling the password option on. You can either generate a password automatically or create one manually for added security.
5. Guest Permissions:
The "Guest Enter As" option allows you to control how guests (those not part of your team) interact within the space. You can choose one of the following roles:
Primary Participant: Guests can fully participate by sharing their camera and audio.
Secondary Participant: Guests have limited interaction capabilities.
Hidden Participant: Guests can observe without interacting.
6. Hidden Users:
Hidden users, such as managers or coordinators, can oversee the space without interacting. You can use the dropdown menu to adjust their access level, allowing them to observe or control the space behind the scenes.
Conclusion: The Space Basic Settings in MeetMo provide flexibility in managing how members and guests interact in your workspace. With options for guest roles and hidden users, you can tailor the space to your needs and ensure roles and permissions are properly managed.
