General permissions in MeetMo.io allow team leaders to control member access and actions within the platform. This guide explains the functions of each permission category and how they relate to team management, spaces, and other platform features.
General Permissions Table Breakdown:
1. Actions (Columns):
View: Members with this permission can only see the backend and settings of a specific item, but they cannot make changes.
Add: Members can create parts of the workflow, assisting directors and producers in setting up the project.
Edit: This permission allows members to modify the settings of something they have added, providing further customization.
Delete: Members can erase workflows or specific settings, removing them from everyoneβs access within the team.
2. Affected Areas (Rows):
Teams: Permissions related to the creation, management, and deletion of teams.
Spaces Access: Control over who can access or manage spaces within the platform.
Permissions: Control over who can view, add, edit, or delete other members' permissions.
Note: Be cautious when assigning the Edit Permissions access, as it can allow members to grant themselves additional permissions, including potentially higher-level controls.
Specific Permissions:
1. AI Chat:
Managing access to the AI Chat feature is important because AI can consume resources and distract from core tasks. Team leaders can control who has access to keep the team focused and manage resources effectively.
2. Billing View & History:
This permission grants access to financial data, allowing members (usually in accounting or production roles) to view spending details and transaction history.
3. Subscription View & Update:
Members with this permission can see the current subscription plan being used for the production and make changes, such as upgrading, downgrading, or requesting additional resources.
Conclusion: MeetMoβs general permissions allow team leaders to control member access to key parts of the platform, from viewing settings to managing teams and permissions. Understanding these controls ensures a smooth workflow and prevents unauthorized access.
